Apple and Google Collaborate to Simplify Cross-Platform Data Migration Between iOS and Android
Apple and Google have reached an agreement to streamline the data transfer process between iPhone and Android devices, making cross-platform migration significantly easier for users.
The new functionality has already been deployed in Android Canary 2512 across all Pixel devices. The feature is scheduled to arrive on iOS 26 at a later date. Initially, the capability will be available exclusively in developer beta versions before rolling out to the general public.
This collaboration between the two tech giants represents a significant step toward improving user experience and reducing friction in the smartphone ecosystem, particularly for users considering switching platforms.
