Apple Accelerates Development of Three AI-Powered Wearable Devices

Apple is reportedly ramping up development efforts on three distinct AI-powered wearable devices as the company seeks to maintain its competitive position in the rapidly evolving wearables market.

According to recent industry reports, the Cupertino-based tech giant is working on an AirTag-sized AI pendant equipped with integrated cameras, designed to be worn on clothing. This device represents Apple's entry into the emerging category of AI-enabled personal assistants that can be worn throughout the day.

In parallel, Apple is expediting development of its AI-powered smart glasses, internally code-named N50. The device will feature a high-resolution camera system and is positioned as a premium offering within the company's wearables portfolio. Production is reportedly targeted to commence as early as December, with a consumer launch planned for 2027.

The company faces significant competition in the smart glasses segment, with Meta currently leading the market and Snap preparing to release its "Specs" product line later this year.

Additionally, Apple is developing a new generation of AirPods with enhanced AI capabilities. All three devices are being engineered to integrate seamlessly with the iPhone ecosystem, with Siri serving as the core virtual assistant interface.
