TLDR is a plugin for your IDE that explains code in plain English. It uses AI to understand the code and then explains it in simple language.

The plugin has a rate-limited free version, but you can also opt for a paid version that increases the rate limits.

Your selected code is sent to our servers, where it is processed by the AI system. The AI then returns a plain English explanation of the code.

Yes, TLDR supports most programming languages, although there might be rare exceptions. If you encounter an unsupported language, please let us know.

You can install and upgrade to the paid version via the JetBrains plugin marketplace.

The AI is still in beta and does not always understand the code correctly. This is improving over time.

'Gracefully rate limited' means the AI system has limits on request size and number of requests per month. If you reach these limits, please contact us.

You can cancel your subscription at any time via the JetBrains plugin marketplace.

If TLDR misinterprets a regular expression, please report it as a bad result. For testing regular expressions, you can also use regexr.com.
